My Students

My 23 first graders come to school each day enthusiastic and ready to learn! They are creative and enjoy hands on activities that help channel their energy towards learning.

Our school days are full of wiggly teeth, new friends, lots of high highs, a few low lows, and most importantly an incredible amount of growth.

As their teacher, it is my job to find what personally motivates each student, and then use that to further their learning. Each student is unique in their own way, and what interests them and helps them reach their full potential varies from student to student. I am hoping that by improving my classroom technology I will be able to provide engaging curriculum based activities that enhance student learning on an individual level.

My Project

I want to provide my students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for a 21st century learning and working environment. My hope is to acquire 6 Osmo kits that would be used in the classroom to facilitate differentiated technology centers.

By having Osmo available for students I would be able to ensure that they are working on their own skill level, and it would provide them with differentiated and tactile learning experiences while utilizing technology.

I plan lessons that incorporate coding, STEM and open ended creative learning experiences. It would also create additional opportunities for students to share original work samples with their peers, families, and the community.
