Help me give my students fun and engaging learning with these Hands-On Math Trays, Wild Animal and Fun Fruit Counters, and the Nuts About Counting Math manipulatives!
My students are energetic and enthusiastic! As kindergartners, everything at school is new. Many of my students have not attended pre-school, so they are interested in and excited about each and every new activity and experience. Seeing them experience things like finger painting or listening to a new and exciting book read aloud is so rewarding.
Rich and varied experiences are so valuable at this tender age!
And my students are eager to explore and get messy! Some are quiet and reserved, preferring to watch and listen before joining in. Others jump in with both feet, soaking up the newness of it all.
Some are active little jumping beans, others prefer slow and gentle activities. But they all love to learn and are growing by leaps and bounds every day!
My Project
These materials will have many uses in my kindergarten classroom. Students will use these items for pretend play and hands-on exploration. The sets will also provide a fun way to introduce vocabulary for concepts that children naturally participate in during play, such as sorting and grouping. I will be able to use these for whole group lessons, as well as small group activities during our daily math lessons.
Children need to explore to engage in learning.
These fun, colorful, and engaging math manipulatives will encourage exploration in counting, comparing, graphing, and sorting. In addition to math concepts, the adorable little animals and fruits will reinforce health and science vocabulary as well.
