Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 1st-grade students are learning to read in a Dual Language Immersion classroom. They are learning to read in Spanish. They need a classroom that will motivate them. Having an organized classroom will invite students to learn. Having bins will provide students access to an organized environment where books are stored, yet at the same time are within students' reach.

My students are learning to read independently.

Currently, my students are sitting on the floor during independent reading. Providing them with a cushion to sit on will help them focus and give them comfort as they read.

As my students are learning to read in Spanish. With a TPT card, I will be able to provide my students with grade-level lessons in Spanish.
