My young students are from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds who are enthusiastic about learning and developing their full potential. Our Parents as Teachers program helps empower the parents to be their child's first and most important teacher. We provide parents with access to researched child development information, hands-on activities, and books to help these families prepare their children for bright futures.
With your help, this program can provide young children with learning activities to help them meet developmental milestones and promote family well-being to create a better future for all families.
My Project
Our Parents as Teachers program focuses on equipping and empowering parents to guide their children in meeting developmental milestones. This program provides child development information and developmentally appropriate activities for promote parent-child interaction and family well-being.
These materials will help children develop fine motor skills, literacy and language skills, and sensory and imaginary play at home and when attending school.
Fine motor, sensory, literacy and art materials all contribute to children's brain development, motor skills, language skills, social-emotional, and cognitive skills. These skills, which will be developed by the motor and sensory materials requested, are vitally important to children's healthy development.
