Help me give my students and parents motivation to transition to online learning using classroom Dojo. We are a low income, low parent involvement school community. The more assignments completed, the more points and rewards earned!
It’s difficult to think that the last day we were together as a class that we didn’t even know it. We were not aware that we were probably singing our last good morning song together, that congratulations over huge gains in reading and math might be the last gains made for the year, and that the safe environment my kids depend on to share and cope with the hardships they face daily would be taken away from them. My challenge now is NOT to gather effective online learning platforms or learning materials. Those thankfully have been accessed and granted to all of our students through our district. However, if these are not utilized by the parents for their children, this is all in vain. I am asking for donations for incentives and prizes to motivate both parents and students for accessing and completing the tasks I am giving through remote learning platforms.
