I have a class of 26 little learners who are eager to explore the world! My students love learning through play, games, and different activities that allow them to be active. In our classroom, we have a community of love and truly have become a class family. Our school is a Title 1 school and the families come from many different socioeconomic levels and backgrounds. Several of our students don't have the opportunity to learn in ways that are fun and at their own level. I want my students to obtain a love of learning while given a chance to learn at their own pace.
In our class, I strive to have my students learn through hands-on discovery and collaboration.
It is always exciting to see a students face light up when they understand the task before them. What is even better is when the student discovers it on their own through games, play and or other engaging activities. I love watching my students learn to grow individually, socially, and academically.
My Project
Having what is needed for centers, stations and activities is so important! It's difficult to teach in ways that my students learn without basic materials in the classroom. These items are so important because we will use them for multiple activities everyday.
These materials will enhance my little learners by making centers and activities more enjoyable!
The ink stamp pads will help with our stamping centers and allow my students to practice letters, sight words, and CVC words through stamping. The dice will be used for multiple different math activities.
It is also very important to motivate my class. We will use the doorbell for call backs and attention getters. The beads are used as "brain beads" in the classroom. The more "wrinkles" we get in our brain, the smarter we are!
