Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

To introduce art to all the students in the school I want to ignite their imaginations and talents. It is a revitalizing neighborhood and a school where the students come first. We provide for many of their needs as possible to help them develop into well-rounded individuals. The area is being rebuilt and is filled with diversified economic families from low income, multicultural families, one-parent households, homelessness, and multiple families per one home.

Exposing the children to different forms of art and giving them opportunities to do art they may not ever get exposed to except through your donations.

Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated and much needed for my students. The students and I truly appreciate all you do for us and know that without you we could not do the art projects to spark our creativity.

My Project

The students will use the trivet bases to help them place their mosaic in colorful patterns. The students will use the tile pieces to make designs in the trivets and on cardboard. Seal them in place with plaster. The students will be able to make trivets, candle holders, coasters, and pictures to hang on the wall. It exposes the students to an older art form of using pieces of glass in patterns that shine in light. Your generous donation helps each child in the art room explore many media of art.
