My Students

Four walls, a blackboard, and desks are not enough to help my students learn to speak French. They need to be able to see and hear French speakers in a variety of settings.

I teach an amazing multicultural blend of students from every corner of the world.

They already speak two or more languages and now they are studying French. They face a lot of challenges, but they are determined to succeed. Our school is a high needs, title 1, inner city school. Our goal is to help all of our students succeed in college.

My Project

I am fortunate to have an LCD projector thanks to generous donations through DonorsChoose. Unfortunately, when I show movies, video clips, or we listen to audio files, my students can barely hear the sound because I do not have speakers. With over 30 students in every class, I need speakers and power supply cords to bring music and movies to life.

Listening to French accents from around the world will help my students increase their listening and speaking abilities in French.

In addition, this will help my students to get a better grade on the French Regents exam. This will open the door for my students to have more opportunities and attend a better university.
