I teach in a Title I district where most of the students come from low-income households and they are very limited to the resources in the classroom.
Every day when my students arrive to the classroom, they are full of energy and anxious to see what is in store for them.
I teach 5th grade dual language and many of my students read at different grade levels. I would love to provide a welcoming classroom for them where they feel loved and welcomed.
Next school year, I will have 2 groups during the day coming in and out of my classroom.
My students will need another mailbox to keep their materials organize as they come in and out of my classroom.
I want my students to be responsable for their belongings but I also want to have a space in that classroom where they can keep their materials that they will need for math. The furniture piece that I am asking for will be used with one of the groups I will see during the day to keep their belongings in one place, so that when they come to my classroom they don't waste time looking for materials or going back to their homeroom.
