My Students
As a teacher from a middle-class, urban school district in Northeastern Pennsylvania, 75% of our students come from disadvantaged or single parent families. Many students lack real-world experiences that professionals take for granted. All students in my district receive free breakfast and lunch.
Most of my students have had little to no tech or STEM experience.
Allowing students to be more creative and use their imagination will help to jumpstart their interest in many science fields. We can’t wait. Let’s get started!
My Project
These additional sphero bolts will allow more students in my class to be able to code at one time. Right now, we have enough robots for just about everyone to be paired up or in a group of 3. It would be great if we could just work in partners.
My students love working with the spheros we have, and they really enjoy when they just get to drive, although coding is the important thing for them to be learning.
Some of them have already gotten very good at coding, and they are able to help some of the kids that aren't as good at it.
