My Students
Kindergarten is a blast! The kids come to school ready to do something new, fun, safe, and exciting. As they start to pile on social and academic skills, their growth is amazing!
Providing students with a wealth of experiences and opportunities, along with well-researched and strategized teaching, is a win-win scenario.
While many of my students have some economic disadvantages, and lack having a well-rounded experience in their formative years, school is a place where they shine and either begin or continue on their path to success.
My Project
Mo Willems, are you familiar with his books? If not, just go to YouTube and check them out. My kinder kids just LOVE his books: they relate to the characters and their dialogue, the story lines are engaging, and they see value in the messages in Mr. Willems tales.
Having quality literature in a classroom library is a must when it comes to motivating children to read.
The books that I am requesting, along with the two plush animals (Gerald the Elephant and his best friend, Piggie), will add to our classroom collection and provide the students with books to take home and share with their families.
