My students need more interactive and engaging ways to interact with math concepts and review learned skills. The Lakeshore Math Activity Stations would be perfect for enhancing my class's hands-on math station!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My third grade students are full of curiosity and determination. They love to explore the outdoors and watch life develop in our chicken and goat yard. The students develop a love of reading, writing, and independent learning.
The students achieve remarkable gains in the face of adversity.
Many students receive free and reduced meal plans, uniform assistance, and school organized medical assistance when possible. They often come from broken homes or bounce from family member to family member. While I can't give them everything they need, but I can provide them a classroom full of warmth and love to help them grow.
My Project
Students will be better supported in reviewing math skills through the use of the School Specialty workbook. It will help keep all of their third grade skills fresh and ready to use in the students' minds.
My students thrive when they have more engaging ways to practice their math skills independently and cooperatively.
The Lakeshore Math Activity Kits will allow my students to practice new and review prior math skills through games that would capture their attention. As part of our guided math program, these would slide perfectly into our hands on math station. It will allow the students to practice much needed skills in a fun way.
