My Students
My students come to me for help in literacy and math. They are struggling and need fun ways to master these subjects. Keeping the students interest with new books and materials is very important. All students can and do learn. Some just need to know what they like and need are important to us as well as their learning. Our district is comprised mostly of low income families and education is not always high on their priority list when food and shelter are not a certainty.
My Project
Let's be honest...... Who doesn't want to have more fun while working? A child's job is to learn and what better way to learn than to have some fun!!!
More than half of the students are from low-income families and are less concerned with learning then they are with where is their next meal coming from.
Hopefully, by making learning as fun as possible with hands-on activities that will help with letter identification and spelling and fun math games that will reach number it will not only make learning easier, but it will also let them forget, for a short while, things that may be going on outside of school.
Regardless of their home situation, all students can benefit from having fun!!! The resources requested will help students do that.
