My Students

My students learn in a collaborative environment. Students work together on projects, share, and experiment with ideas. The students are beginning coding activities and are in the need of current technology to advance forward in their endeavors.

Being in a small rural community, the students are quite close and get along well with each other.

Many of them have been together since Kindergarten. Students come from a variety of economic backgrounds and exposure to enriching experiences. Some of our students have access to technology at home, but there are those that don't. This project will allow them to have contact with technology that they wouldn't already have.

My Project

Having an iPad mini and the Sphero robot added to our classroom will allow students the opportunity to begin coding activities. Many of the robotic activities require an iPad to program and operate. The iPad mini will enable them to work collaboratively with each other to code.

This project will add an extra level of technology to our classroom.

We currently have a need for more technology to provide students with enriching coding activities. Students will gain a greater knowledge about coding that will take them into the future.
