Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students all come from low socioeconomic diverse communities who have been enrolled into this school to receive a better education than from their local public schools in the area. Our charter school is k-8 with all classrooms being self contained. I am a fifth grade teacher working towards making my students lives better by filling in the gaps in their learning by using all tools available to me.
Our classroom is buzzing with activity throughout the day learning, new skills and reviewing previous skills, so that they will be able to bridge the learning gap in a fun and productive way.
My Project
The Chromebooks that you donate to will allow all students to have a Chromebook to use throughout the day. Our school use technology during the day. Currently we have 20 computers for the students, but I have 30 students in the class. In order for my students to each have a computer so that they will be able to complete the work that they do through out the day.
The students use the computers to better understand the word around them by being able to conduct independent research and create projects in order to apply their learning.
In order for the students to be most successful they need the computers to use in class.
