My Students

My students are from a low socioeconomic background. They do not always have the same enthusiasm for school as others do.

We strive to give the students experiences that are out of the norm in order to engage their minds and enhance their learning.

One way we do this is by prepping the classroom and its materials.

Materials for the classroom are very hard to come by. The best classrooms have materials that can excite a student into wanting to learn.

My Project

The students have recently been introduced to flexible seating in the classroom. Now that they understand the concept and have chosen their favorite places to sit, we need some more of the popular items. Their favorite seats are the bean bag chairs and the floor seats with an adjustable back. They are the most comfortable and the students have really been able to concentrate while sitting in them. We also need a round floor table.

Many students enjoy the same flexible seating, but there is not enough of it.

I have requested more of the seating that my students love the most. This way the students will be able to share more easily than they are able to now.
