This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My group of 140 first graders has continued to grow since the beginning of the semester. We have started working on our musical performance "BUGZ!" and new students have arrived from the Ukraine and Mexico.

We are needing more supplies to continue creating all the costumes for my students.

Because so many of our students are low income, they can not afford to buy costumes or materials. I want this musical experience to be one of the most memorable experiences of their early school years. They are working so hard on the performance aspect of the musical - I want them to feel like stage stars!
