Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach reading and language arts to a group of forty-one sweet, energetic, and diverse learners, including students with special needs. My students have various disabilities including autism and speech and language delays. All my students belong to low-income families. They receive free breakfast and lunch.
Despite obstacles, they are always eager to learn and do their best by coming to school with happy faces.
Having an inclusive classroom has been a wonderful experience for all my students, who at this early age are learning to appreciate and celebrate how different we all are and are always helping each other.
My Project
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care. Many of these books are in my library thanks to the generosity of people like you.
With these new books, my students will have the opportunity to read at their own level independently.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students improve their reading fluency and comprehension skills.
