My students amaze me every single day. Each day these students make a decision to push themselves and do better than the day before. This class is made up of 23 of the strongest and most dedicated students. They never quit. They continue to grow and demand the attention and supplies necessary to do so.
Each day is a blessing in my classroom as I spend time with my students helping them to become the best learners that they can be.
As they learn and grow, they become more interested in everything around them and how the world works. Their passion and desire to learn inspires me each day to be a better teacher.
My Project
I am so excited to introduce my kindergarteners to more new authors! They are so eager to learn and soak up new books. But they want more! We are getting ready to start Author Studies and they want more authors to study! These collections and books by Leo Lionni, Norman Ray Bridwell, Jan Brett, and Judy Schachner will be a great ways to introduce new ways to write and illustrate stories. They love getting to use ideas the "real authors" use.
I want them to realize that they ARE real authors.
I can do this by showing them that they can write and illustrate like the authors they love to read.
