My Students

I work in a wonderful school that is open to new ideas for making learning challenging, rewarding, and beneficial. We have a diverse population of students who are eager to learn and READ.

For over 20 years, I have watched educational trends ebb and flow.

Initiatives have come and gone but one thing that has never changed: the benefits of reading. Our school, our teachers, and the members of our community support reading and writing. I am truly lucky to work in this wonderful school district.

My students deserve options to help them transition back to a learning environment. They have endured isolation and online learning. They are so eager to learn and some just need some wiggle room to do that. Our district provides many enriching opportunities for students. The students and I are lucky to learn/work in such a great area of the country.

My Project

As I mentioned before, students love and need alternate seating. The two accordion chairs are a huge hit as as the yoga balls I purchased a few years ago. My issue with the yoga balls is the amount of distracting movement they make. I purchased a yoga chair for myself and find it helps me focus and stay engaged in one place. By purchasing the stability chairs, I am hoping to still offer yoga ball seating without the distraction. The chair works for adults, it will surely work for them!
