My Students

I have a wonderful group of students in my Montessori classroom, grades 1-3. They love learning and working with the Montessori materials and their desire to learn inspires me every single day.

The Montessori education focuses on developing the "whole student", focusing on life skills, with a lot of attention given to mindfulness, peacefulness and the world we live in.

We have students from different backgrounds and they are all tied together by the wonderful opportunity of working in a Montessori classroom. Our school is a FREE Montessori school which is very special. Usually Montessori schools are private, but this class gets to attend a public Montessori school at no cost to them.

My Project

This project is to complete our continent boxes that allow the students to research a specific continent and the countries in it. Currently in our classroom we are greatly lacking materials on Antartica so there are a lot of books applying to that.

In addition to that, I have discovered different series of books focusing on each continent that are accessible to the students to use to conduct research on them which have been added onto this project, in addition to other necessary Montessori materials we need in the class.

I believe they would give a great addition to the continent boxes we already have started.

Some of the items that you will see are notecards, sheet protectors, binder clip rings, and other school supplies. I have already run out of the money that I had allotted to me for the school year and I am currently not able to use my personal funds to pay for the things that I need, as I have already overdrawn and maxed out my own means. I am asking for your support to help my classroom be as successful as it can be.
