Students at my school are energetic, upbeat, creative, and excited to work on hands-on projects. I am new to the district, and I'm enjoying getting to know the students, families, and other teachers; the school community is full of many caring individuals.
Art students at my school love to create with new materials.
Recently, students have expressed an interest in digital art, photography, and printmaking. It would be a dream come true to expand the types of lessons that we could do. Thank you for taking a look at our page!
My Project
I am excited to give students the opportunity to try new art materials. Currently, at our school, we do not have printmaking supplies for 6-8th-grade students. The students would benefit from learning about this traditional method of artmaking in a fun, middle-school-friendly way by mono printing!
Students will love creating monoprints and learning about printmaking!
Monoprinting is fast and fun, with a high success rate. Students will be able to experiment, create textures, and create interesting compositions that we can convert to mixed media masterpieces.
The materials on the list are non-consumable (Gelli Arts printing plates), so we will be able to reuse them each year. Thank you for considering funding our project before May 7th.
