My students need legal pads, dry erase markers, copy paper and sheet protectors as classroom basics that are fundamental to the many processes that take place during hands-on learning.
Located in a Title I school, our ICT classroom is comprised of students from a variety of of social and economic backgrounds. Some of our students have IEPs and some are ESLs or former ESLs.
Students in our classroom are captivated and motivated by access to technological devices, software, and programs, anything that makes them feel like they are playing a game or brings learning to life in a graphic format.
Our students strive everyday to live the school's mission for collaborative learning in a supportive environment. Students learn in a school environment that celebrates diversity, promotes project-based learning, and fosters ingenuity.
My Project
That time of year again where every teacher is checking to make sure she is fully stocked and ready to launch another school year. In a perfect world, every student enters the classroom on the first day toting every item listed on the school supply list sent home back in June.
Living in a perfectly imperfect world means that not only students, but teachers, too, need help accessing the tools we need to succeed.
Copy paper is constantly required for printing student materials. Laminate helps us preserve our student centers materials. Yellow legal paper is exclusively for student drafting during the writing process. Page protectors double for student resource binders and as dry erase surfaces for skills practice pages. Dry erase markers are used by both teachers, during instruction, and students, when problem solving using personal math/white boards. Your contribution will provide both teachers and our students access to a productive school year AND keep it going with some back stock.
