As a librarian I have wonderful kids many of whom are often placed in situations of want. Our school is a safe haven for them and offers a place where they can be creative kids who can achieve greatness. My school is a Title I School with a high poverty student population. Our students have been successful despite this fact because we expect greatness from them and they rise to the occasion. Over the past year we have achieved the highest state honors for academic achievement. We have done this by offering our students exceptional data based instruction and the latest technology tools.
Our students have tremendous potential but they often do not have tools and community of knowledge to achieve their best.
This is a great project for my students because with these books, the students will get introduced to the many aspects of money early on. This introduction by two of the greatest books about money for kids, will help them be better on the life long journey with money.

Written in Babylon is a 1926 book by George S. Clason, it dispenses financial advice through a collection of parables set 8,000 years ago in ancient Babylon. The book remains in print almost a century after the parables were originally published.
Minority students are taught a variety of subjects in school, however, far little time is spent teaching them about one of the most important subjects of their lives, personal finance.
