My students need to keep their little minds busy and creative. I am trying to create a "magical math & science world" with my Harry Potter theme to help them feel that they can accomplish anything!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are all starting their first year at a new magnet school along with my first year there too! They are 3rd graders who are excited to learn all things math, science, & technology! I call them my future engineers, scientists, and mathematicians! They love to learn, and I also want them to learn to love each other as well as school! They need a safe and comfortable place where they can be theirselves, expand their minds, and have fun!
My Project
We will use many of these STEM games and activities to activate their brains first thing in the morning at our Math, Science, & Technology Magnet School! We will use Legos, coding games, roller coaster sets, an even marble mazes that the students can create and play with themselves.
I also am in need of a comfortable, fun space which I am trying to make "magical".
I am trying to make my own little Hogwarts by incorporating Harry Potter, which is a book and move series that many 3rd graders love. I am even incorporating Harry Potter like houses into my classroom to help build relationships among students.
