We are a small school in a rural community trying to do big things. The students are mostly from low income families. They all receive free breakfast and over 80% are on a reduced price lunch program, but they all take pride in their hometown and community. Most of them participate in any activity that the school has to offer including the Science Fair, Drama Club, Track and Field.
Our school's staff would like to expose students to everything that we can but funding is often an obstacle.

My Project
I would appreciate the ability to supply all of my students with composition notebooks that they use to journal and document their scientific explorations. Part of those exploration include the building of models. I have cardboard and paper but my scissors are wearing out and glue and tape are used regularly so I never seem to have enough on hand.
When the students materials that are in good condition they take more pride in using them and in extension take more pride in their work.
Having a journal of their own and working materials will improve their productivity and pride.
