My students need a document camera to keep current with technology.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Monday through Friday, I walk into a classroom with a group of students who I am ready to teach and prepare for the future. I teach at a Title I school that is in an economically depressed area. The majority of my students come from a low socio-economic background. Despite these circumstances, they are bright eyed, capable students, who dream big and strive to accomplish their goals. Students' learning needs are very diverse, making it important to differentiate instruction and challenge all students to their full potential. I am constantly thinking of new ideas and strategies to introduce information to my students so that all students can access the curriculum.
A document camera would be an excellent addition to the classroom. It will enable students to share their work with one another, while modeling their strategies and explaining their thinking. This will assist to deepen student understanding of concepts and skills across all subject areas. Additionally, the document camera will allow me to model effective editing and revision of student writing This will be beneficial to all students, particularly visual learners. Furthermore, it will be an excellent tool to review tests with the class, allowing students to learn from their mistakes. Lastly, the document camera will serve to increase student discussion and interaction, further engaging students.
