Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am part of an amazing innovative elementary school that is filled full of students that love learning.
We strongly believe in allowing kids to explore and be highly engaged during their learning experience.
Having a mixed population at our campus, we have students from upper-income, lower-income, foster families, military families, English and Spanish speaking families, too. We lack funding to provide necessary equipment in order to be more innovative in our classrooms. My classroom is a 5th grade class that is made up of high need students. I have many with special needs or learning disabilities of some kind. I look forward to helping them excel while being highly engaged in their learning. As we begin our second year, we would love to provide students of all abilities, the opportunity to participate in engaging activities that incorporate technology while learning and create a positive environment for all.
My Project
Having daily access to the MobyMax online computer program helps students of all levels reach their potential. This project is important to not only the academic success of all my students, but to establishing a clearer understanding of their financial future. The financial literacy aspects in the math section are an excellent choice to teach students the importance of financial responsibilities while teaching them the skills to manage, maintain, monitor and adjust their finances using these math skills. This program adjusts to each students level and can teach them the same types of concepts. Students will be more successful if given the opportunity to access Moby Max daily from home and school. Financial stability comes from understanding and managing funds from an early age. Help me to help my students realize this important fact that can lead to success in their lives.
