I have 22 eager and excited third-grade learners in my classroom. They come to school ready to learn and willing to work hard. Over 30% of the students in our school qualify for free and reduced-price lunch.
As a school, we encourage students to engage fully with the curriculum by offering maker opportunities and projects.
Our classroom is also focused on exploring the third-grade curriculum through Project Based Learning units.
I love teaching and giving my students a chance to work with tools they might not have access to at home. Students truly enjoy building and making with their hands. The sky is the limit when it comes to what they are capable of creating!
My Project
I am requesting a cart with drawers for student use and storage of tools. The drawers will also be used to store consumable building supplies and unfinished projects. The tools I am requesting are tools that are safe for students to use as well as tools that they don’t already have access to in our classroom.
Students will use the tools to create their projects as well as participate in PBL units.
Since we meet bi-weekly with Book Buddies and monthly with STEM Buddies additional students in multiple grade levels will have access to the Mobile Maker Cart as well.
