My students need an interactive writing and reading area. A mobile teaching easel and the pocket charts would provide them the perfect spot to learn in small intervention groups.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 19-second graders in my homeroom class. They come from low-income families, and 100% of them are English language learners. Some of them keep struggling with reading because they are English language learners. Although they have some language barriers, they are trying their best. You can see a beautiful smile in each effort that they give.
They display a positive attitude toward learning.
They are always working as a team. They care about others. Each child's achievements are celebrated as a group accomplishment.
My Project
During small group instruction, the students are divided into 4 groups. They rotate every 20 minutes. One of these centers, is teacher led instruction. It will be perfect to have a mobile teaching easel with pocket charts to support their learning. I individualize and address their academic needs.
Having a mobile easel will allow my students to stay focus in their lesson, interact with their classmates, and make use of the sight words cards, the pocket charts, and the markers to provide their responses.
The tubs included in the mobile easel will allow me to have the resources organized and available for immediate use. It will also encourage them to interact directly with their peers and practice their reading and writing skills on the spot (space) provided without interrupting others.
