Our school is my second family. We are many ethnicities: Hispanic, middle eastern, Arab, Asian, Black and white. They live in a middle class neighborhood. Just a few weeks ago we had a tornado rip through our town and our school was demolished. Some have gone through a lot with losing their homes or suffering damage to their property.
I love my students and they love coming to school to learn.
My students often comment on how organized and comfortable our classroom is. We need help to make that a reality again.
My Project
This magnetic dry erase board cart will help my students learn during carpet time. I teach kindergarten so the majority of my teaching and their learning and play is done on the carpet. I need a place to interactively write and read with the students. I also need to use manipulatives when teaching math and reading that I am able to move around on the dry erase board. This cart also has storage where I am able to keep everything I need for my lessons right there with me in the storage area.
I can keep my students focus and attention with this cart on my lessons.
I had this exact mobile cart before the tornado destroyed our entire school, saving nothing from my classroom. This mobile chart will help students in my classroom for years and years.
