I teach 4 sections of Advanced Placement United States History, with a total of 95 students. Most of my students are juniors, and while many of my students have taken previous AP level classes, there are a significant number of students who challenging themselves at the AP level for the first time. My goal is to provide resources that will enable these students who are taking AP level classes for the first time be successful. This mobile classroom projector will enable my students to collaborate in small groups.
By having a mobile projector on a cart will allow me to engage my students more effectively in different locations throughout the school. We will use this projector to allow students to examine primary sources in the classroom using the historical thinking skills of Intended Audience, Historical Situation, Purpose, and Point of View. It is vital for my students to be able to analyze these primary sources in order to truly understand the material that we are learning. This mobile projector will allow my students to work in small groups and enable more peer to peer collaboration in the classroom.
