Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 8th Grade U.S. History in an Arts and Technology based Magnet program. We are housed in a large, urban, Title 1 middle school with a limited budget and aging facilities.
My students are gifted, highly-engaged, creative thinkers who love to imagine and collaborate with each other.
They are also culturally diverse and from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds.
As a teacher, I am responsible for creating and maintaining a positive classroom environment. My goal with this project is to invest students with the tools they need to enable creativity to flourish!
My Project
The mobile Luxor Storage Cart with 3 Shelves will make a difference in my student's learning by giving them easy access to the resources they need to create art in the classroom. Having a mobile cart will ensure that supplies are organized, accounted for, and quickly cleaned up!
My students are part of an Arts and Technology Magnet program.
We create art on a daily basis in our interactive student notebooks and for various culminating projects throughout the school year.
Supplies such as Prang Washable Markers, Prismacolor Col-Erase Pencils, and Elmer''s Washable School Glue Sticks are limited and due to the nature of our program we use them quickly! Please help my incredibly talented students create their own mobile art cart full of resources that will last the whole year!
