Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a music educator in a small, rural and low-economic school district I am proud to have dedicated and enthusiastic students that want to be in the band program. This program is in its 3rd year of existence and doesn't have enough equipment to outfit all the students from 5th grade to 11th grade that want to be in the band. We currently have 85 students in the band program at a small 1A school, but can only provide 50 students with instruments to play.
We have the opportunity to have a great future here as long as we have the proper resources to allow the kids to succeed, I have a passion for educating students to be great through music and life, while being a positive male role-model for the students but need the necessary tools in order to do so.
We do have some parents that have gone out and purchased or rented instruments but most can't afford to go that route but still want their children to be allowed to participate in the band.
My Project
With these products we will be able to prepare for the upcoming school year using technology in the classroom and on the marching field. The Arcshell Rechargeable Long Range Two-way Radios and the bullhorn will allow me to communicate with student leaders and the entire ensemble during rehearsals to give them directives while I am in the lift for aerial view.
The reason why we need the GoolRC T5G Drone is because our main goal this year is to use technology to enhance our rehearsal and be able to review and critique ourselves leading up to competitions.
We also need clarinet reeds and wooden blocks to learn or halftime drill for this school year.
