Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend a STEAM Academy magnet school which focuses on integrating the Arts in all areas. We have established a very successful musical theater program at my school that has become the highlight of our year. Many of my neighborhood students do not get to experience the performing arts outside of school, so the musical performance brings a bit of Broadway to our neighborhood.
My students love performing in musical productions!
They work very hard on their vocal technique, dance skills and working as an ensemble. My students spend countless hours preparing and absolutely love being in front of an audience to deliver a performance and bring a story to life.
My Project
My students work hard preparing their lines and lyrics and they want to be heard! Having a proper sound mixer for our students on stage will enhance their performance greatly. The digital mixer will provide high quality sound that can be heard clearly, both for the audience and the performers who are singing. When students' can accurately hear accompaniment tracks to sing along to and their voices can be heard by the audience, they gain a tremendous amount of confidence in their performance, which leads to an elevated sense of accomplishment and pride.
The experience of participating in a musical production will be with these students for a lifetime.
They will always remember the time that they were on a stage, in front of an audience, entertaining and bringing stories to life. Their voices must be heard and having a high quality sound mixer will provide the security they need to be successful stage performers.
