This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are energized, creative, and hard-working third-grade children. They are writers, illustrators, singers, comedians, and so much more. We are located in a Title I school, and this year, 100% of students will receive free breakfast and lunch. We are located in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our children come from low socioeconomic households and assistance is often needed. Teachers in our school are continually helping families in any way possible. We care for our students as our own.
My Project
The donation of pencils, erasers, and a new pencil sharpener will allow our students the opportunity to get right to work and continue working throughout the school day. Pencils are way underrated by those people who do not spend their days in the classroom! There is nothing that can assist a child to learn more than having the proper tools to get the job complete. By equipping my students with pencils, a sharpener, and erasers, students will be able to work freely, without the added pressure that they are not prepared for the best learning day ever! Erasers and pencils are very much needed in my classroom!
