My Project

Do you know an 8-year-old who doesn't like to learn in a larger than life way? Me neither! I have a classroom full of 3rd grade students who are curious and love to learn.

My students need resources to research the famous people who came from our great state, Missouri!

As we study the history of our state, students get to choose a Famous Missourian to learn and write about. Finding enough quality resources for a class of eager learners is difficult since our school and local libraries have very few. Having multiple copies for students to be able to work in groups as they research would be an ideal way to teach research strategies and support struggling readers and writers.
