Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second grade class is comprised of 16 ESL (English as a Second Language) students, who all come from low-income households. I have the most enthusiastic group of second graders. Despite the current global situation, my students have been able to power through and adapt to our ever-changing school year. I am so proud of their efforts.

My Project

We are using various curriculums this year in second grade. With each curriculum comes a plethora of materials such as textbooks, workbooks, and manipulatives. Unfortunately, we do not have a lot of storage space to place these items.

Another shipment of books were delivered and due to the lack of storage space, the boxes are just sitting on our floor taking up space.

We could really use this shelf to store our curriculum materials by topic. Not only will it keep our room decluttered, my students will learn better organization skills.
