My students need tumbling mats for saer cheerleading practice.

My cheerleaders, the mighty Cobras, are dedicated, young ladies. I love the fact that they are passionate about the sport of cheering and will cheer at any school event, come rain or shine. Last year on the day of a football game, it rained all day, and it was chilly outside. My girls were so excited to support our football team they decided to participate anyway. They cheered in the rain getting their hair wet! I thought they would give up before the game was over, but they wanted to continue to cheer. From that point on I realized that my team truly understood what sacrifice is about. I admire them for all of their hard work and possessing the ability to think beyond themselves.
What makes them truly special is their spirit of sister and brotherhood that they have amongst each other.
My heart has been overjoyed with pride about the way that my team welcomes every type of student no matter the gender, orientation, grade level, or size. Once a student has met the requirements to become a Mighty Cobra, he or she has become a member of a family.
Currently, my school only has three old mats for my cheerleaders to practice on. It is my top priority to expose my cheerleaders to exercises that will challenge them and help them to grow. In order for us to be able to participate in cheerleading competitions, we must perform stunts and tumble. We need more than three tumbling mats in order to practice safely.
It is important to obtain tumbling mats so that we can prepare for all cheerleading competitions this year and in the future.
My cheerleaders really want to participate in regionals and the championship this year. This would be the first time ever competing for my students. Having additional new mats will help to make that happen.
