I need to experience the amazing school culture, academic rigor, and student engagement that is present at the Ron Clark Academy, so that I can apply these strategies in my own teaching.
I am beyond blessed to have an amazing group of eager, vivacious students. We come from a diverse community that is extremely high-needs. My classroom is full of varied learning styles, achievement levels, and individual interest. Despite their varied backgrounds, all of my students share a love of learning, a passion to succeed, and a heart to lead.
It is my utmost goal to keep their passion thriving and provide them with the engaging environment to foster their individual success!
My Project
Those who know me, know that Ron Clark is my idol. His educational endeavors have changed the lives of every single person that he encounters. His academy serves as a learning facility to offer educators the utmost opportunity to craft our own skills.

One of my main reasons for becoming an educator was to be a person in childrens' lives who educates, inspires, and deeply supports. Ron Clark Academy provides an entire school FULL of educators who embody these very characteristics. When I visit RCA, I will have the opportunity to attend real-life classrooms and share experiences with the RCA staff and students. I will also have the opportunity to attend several workshops that include topics such as: strategies for effective classroom discipline, integrating music into the classroom, increasing student engagement through higher order questioning, teaching creatively while achieving high standardized tests, implementing games that promote student engagement, promoting academic rigor while meeting the needs of all learners, and creating a climate and culture that promotes student success. I can't wait to make my classroom the place where kids WANT to be, and better shape our future generation!
