My students come from a small community where funding is minimal, but their passion for learning is extraordinary! My classroom consists of all ethnic backgrounds where 40% of these students have learning disabilities. I teach at a Title I school so resources or supplies needed to reach their full potential is limited. My students still deserve the best and should have resources available to them.
In my classroom, I hold the power to create future doctors, nurses, scientists, geologists, teachers, veterinarians, entrepreneurs, and more.
Many of the students do not have support at home and are fully dependent on us to guide them through their educational career. To get my students into these fields, I need to create a love for Science, and the best way to do that is hands-on laboratory work. Please help me encourage my students to be thinkers, dreamers, talkers, and questioners!
My Project
My classroom is a fast-paced hands-on learning environment. Since we are limited to 45 minutes per class, it is very important for students to have everything they need easily accessible. By having these supplies, it will help me provide my students with the materials they need to be successful without having down time to locate what they need. In Junior High organization is a struggle, so I hoping that providing students with materials will allow for more teaching time.
Table caddies will supply students with scissors, glue, pencils, and any other supplies needed for hands-on learning.
The caddy cart will help me organize and store all classroom supplies to make them more accessible to students. With all of these supplies, my goal is to reduce transition time and increase hands-on learning time.
