Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have had the pleasure of spending my first year teaching with an incredible group of 5th graders. My students are extremely curious, intuitive, and wise beyond their years. Their patience and ability to not only adapt to change, but to do so with a positive attitude, is extremely admirable.

My Project

This year I have had the opportunity to collaborate with another first year teacher as my grade-level teammate. While it has been amazing going through the trial and error process with someone at the same point in their career as myself, we are learning and developing everything as we go. With that being said, we do not have any resources already created to pull from to supplement our provided curriculum. On top of not having supplemental material for provided curriculum, we also do not have a provided curriculum for social studies and science.

Being able to pull from already made lessons and curriculums from Teachers Pay Teachers would allow us more time to differentiate lessons to best fit our classes rather than spending all our time solely trying to come up with lessons on our own.
