I currently teach third grade in Staten Island, NY. I have been fortunate enough to have received an overhead projector for my classroom. This tool is a wonderful help when teaching lessons to an entire class. However there is one problem. Right now I have to aim the overhead onto my blinds in my classroom. Often my students have problems seeing the entire transparency on the blinds. I often have to continually move the overhead or the transparency so the students can see each part of the lesson. By getting a screen, my students will be able to view the entire transparency, without ever having to move it. No words will get lost in any folds in the blinds, and I will not constantly hear, "Ms. Sweeney we can't see the next line." or "Ms. Sweeney the transparency needs to be moved." I thank you in advance for your generosity for helping me get the missing piece to a wonderful tool. I know my lessons will go much more smoothly if the transparency can be seen clearly on a screen. I also know that my student swill focus more on the lesson, rather than having to move stuff around.
