Help me give my students a mic package, guitar amp, sanitizer, and other materials for a way to hear and understand what I am saying when I teach my ESOL students with a mask on.
My middle school ESOL students are in a world of uncertainty like everyone else. They traveled across the world for safety and education. Even though schools are beginning classes online, we will soon be back in class with our students, wearing masks.
My students will need to hear and understand what I am saying in order for them to learn.
With teachers and students wearing masks, communication will be difficult. I want my students to be able to hear and understand what is being said, and not have words be muffled behind a mask.
My Project
When school resumes, teachers will be working with students while wearing masks. Masks, while protective, make it difficult to talk through.
Having a microphone and amplifier will allow me to project my voice so my ESOL students will be able to understand and hear what I am saying.
In order for students to know what to do they need to hear and understand the directions and class content. I want my students to have every opportunity to navigate this difficult time. By working together, listening, we can get this done.
