Our school district has a license for each student to work on reading and math online. Each student has a username and password assigned just to them. I can track the progress they are making by using these websites. Some students do not have access to the Internet at home.
My students are the most genuine and sweetest bunch of students I have ever had in my eight years of teaching.
They have a positive attitude towards school and love to learn! They work so hard each and every day to show they are really working their brains! We currently have adapted the growth mindset type of classroom and we are always striving to do our best! I work in a school that has a diverse population and some kids are more fortunate then others. My students mean the world to me and they are always working on bettering themselves as well as others and the community. There is a wide gap in academic performance but together we are a family and we always look out for one another. It is a truly an honor to be the teacher to such wonderful students. They make coming to work a true pleasure! Watching them grow and learn each and every day is what makes my job so amazing! My students continue to amaze me each and everyday with the knowledge they have developed so far!
My Project
Each day in our classroom we have assigned independent time. By having three iPads in the room, we could use these ipads as a resource to reinforce and enrich the learning in not only reading but math as well. We use two apps that go with our Common Core school curricular programs. These programs help to individualize the learning of each and every student. The app itself modifies to the students performance level. It also generates reports to help me as the teacher see where students could benefit from more support as well as where a student is excelling. The students love these learning activities and truly enjoy the time they get to spend working on them. By having three iPads we would be able to incorporate these apps into our daily lessons. They will learn skills that not only reinforce the skills we are working on, but it will push them to work even harder and challenge them as they go!

By using these iPads, we will have a wide variety of resources at our fingertips! My students are growing each and every day and it would be a true joy to see them adding something very special into our own classroom.
