Miss Consolian's Exceptional Learners

Help me give my students more individualized instruction in reading, writing, and math. My classroom is self-contained special education, and centers for each subject will allow them to be independent and confident learners.

My Project

My classroom is a self-contained special education classroom. Each student has very different needs and academic abilities. Therefore, instruction is very individualized. The writing center, magnetic tubs, and other resources I have chosen will allow me to implement independent reading, writing, and math centers with my students.

Unfortunately, I currently do not have resources available that are both effective and allow the students to be self-sufficient.

These centers will allow me to fill learning gaps that have been created by COVID-19 and the learning delays my students face each day. Implementing centers will also promote independence and individualization in my daily instruction.

Implementing additional reading, writing, and math centers will also supplement my daily instruction in each of these content areas. Therefore, this will enable my students to progress in their academic careers and towards their IEP goals.

Ultimately, my goals as a teacher and for my classroom are to see my students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As well as make progress towards their IEP goals. These resources can help both my students and me reach our goals.
