I will be a first year teacher next year and I am getting so excited to meet my students! I have completed my student-teaching in first grade and am excited to have the opportunity to continue this first-grade adventure! First graders are excited to learn and love to work with their hands. They are happy, energetic, creative, and so fun! I love building relationships with each one of my students because it just makes our class that much better. These little people are ready to learn and love and I am excited to be there to watch and help them grow.
My Project
I want my students to be able to learn in an environment that is clean, organized, and easy to move around in. Keeping my classroom free of clutter is going to be a big priority for me. I have realized that it is much easier for students to be able to focus on their work if the environment is free of distractions.
I want my students to be able to easily access materials and be able to put them back in their place with ease.
I plan to use the various Sterilite Clip Boxes to store math manipulatives, extra supplies, art materials, etc. I want to use the Sterilite three-drawer organizers to store materials for the week so that I can stay organized and be prepared for the day when it comes. These various materials will help our classroom feel more like a place to learn!
