My Students

I took the PE position three years ago and our equipment was in pretty bad shape. I have had to clear out a lot of items that were broken or unsafe for students. We need to rebuild our supplies and get organized!

I work at a Title One school in the Indianapolis Metropolitan area.

Our school district is 33% Caucasian, 31% African American, and 27% Hispanic. We are a very diverse school and our families often struggle financially. A majority of our students are on free or reduced lunch.

My Project

We recently received some amazing equipment from a couple of donors. We are now in need of some storage items to help keep our stuff in great shape. Our classroom balls are ripped and are no longer usable. We are also in need of a few more fitness games for the younger aged students.

Our students do not have it easy.

There are things that their parents are not always able to provide them with. I try to do my best to make sure our kids have the same opportunities as students who live a more privileged life. I hate it when I come across a great activity that I am not able to do with my students because of a lack of equipment. We appreciate any and all help given to our school!
