My students need accessories such as speakers and a case for an iPad allowing them to handle, view and hear within the entire classroom while teaching their peers via mirroring through a computer.

In teaching students technology applications, students best learn when they help each other in their work. Using the iPad with mirroring software will allow the class to demonstrate complex software with mobility.
I teach in a Title I middle school where the majority of our students are on free or reduced meals.
Many are ELL students just learning English. A small percentage have technology at home but few have a well-rounded experience and basic knowledge of technology use and skills.
My Project
We are fortunate to have some new technology at our school. Due to severe budget cuts and restraints we have no funding for anything this year. The one item we did receive is one iPad for the classroom. However, we need to purchase all accessories on our own. To protect and use the iPad device completely, we are asking for help for a cover, screen, stand, charger & sound system, and stylus for operating. Once I purchase a software to put on my teacher computer & iPad, my students will be able to demonstrate to each other from anywhere within the room a skill they have learned or discovered and this will mirror through my computer to the screen for everyone to observe and follow. Students will become the teachers. This will empower students to try new things on their computer and take pride in learning something on their own and then sharing it with others. The joy of learning and teaching something new will become exciting for each child.
In addition, we have suffered a major theft of over half our computers.
Although they will be replaced, it will be several months and this semester of students will suffer individual learning and completion of projects. The iPad accessories will enable us to use the device in the classroom and supplement for the loss of the various equipment. It will allow students another source to access online lessons and share their knowledge and skills through the mirroring device that is projected for all.
