My Students

My classes are filled with wonderful and compassionate students who are trying to make their school and community a better place for everybody! They attend a small school in a very rural farming community. The students and school are plagued by the poor economics of the area and the continual lessening of funds provided by the state.

Despite these situations, these students want to succeed, and we need to fully prepare them to meet the world!

I must commend their courage and compassion for learning and try to provide them with what they need.

My Project

My students will use the small canvases and ultra thin paint brushes to create Art on the smallest scale possible. If they are to think outside the box creatively, they need to see the world differently. This project will be one of the first ones to help them do that. We will be studying artists that work on the smallest scale imaginable to learn about their techniques and motivation, and then create our own work using what we have learned. Viewers of our completed display will have access to magnifying glasses so they can better understand the art while viewing it from a unique perspective.
